First time experiencing this was a shocker and way more challenging. Platoon in the offense is fun. Platoon in the defense can be rough. Expect to digging holes for long hours and staying up in rotations during the night on fire watch.
Many go internal because of bad weather. Note : Most field exercises are typically days. Rain or shine, hot and humid or freezing, you will operate. I emphasize being prepared. Doing the missions and learning is fun, but the outside factors can be awful to tolerate.
