Pastrana is finding that driving a Nationwide car is more difficult than he expected. Danica Patrick will be running all of the same races during the remainder of except for Indianapolis and Dover. NASCAR is courting the year-old male demographic and Pastrana may be one to attract them, especially if he is a quick study who proves he is more than a novelty. Pastrana is a hot ticket with action sports and extreme motorcycle stunts.
His endeavors like Nitro Circus Live, filming a movie with first-time stunts and the opening of a sports action based resort in Panama keep him busy. With all his travels, one has to wonder just how serious he is about becoming a contender in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, though he obviously wants to be the best at what he does.
We shall soon see Pastrana perform at Indianapolis and from there we will find out if he is a novelty in NASCAR who is just doing a marketing stunt or if he is the real deal in the sport of stock car racing. I was always battling guys that were up racing near the front the week before, the week after.
I was so disappointed. I just never found that speed. Ross, even though he had to get up the next morning and race for the championship in the Xfinity Series, he was at the track until they closed the garage down with us. We were trying to get me fitted in the seat, and we were watching Hailie Deegan race, and he was talking me through everything. Like, I think I was there at a. Ross was amazing. First time I got to really meet him, and he [went] above and beyond. But Crafton, he got out of his truck — he was already getting in.
Cheek: And, finally, do you have any more starts planned in the future with Niece, or, if you do, will you surprise us like you did with Kansas? Pastrana: No, I mean, I love it. I would jump back in as much as possible. I would jump in in a heartbeat. A daily email update Monday through Friday providing racing news, commentary, features, and information from Frontstretch. So, it was an awesome experience, but it was too far out of my wheelhouse, no pun intended.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Pastrana in part chose NASCAR, he said, because it was the next most available challenge with the best chance of not upending his personal and business lives. And NASCAR, he said, was the ultimate test even given his experience had been so different from oval racing on asphalt.
