Astrology, on the other hand, is the belief that the positioning of the stars and planets affect the way events occur on earth. By the end of the 17th century, emerging scientific concepts in astronomy, such as heliocentrism, undermined the theoretical basis of astrology, which subsequently lost its academic standing and became regarded as a pseudoscience.

That includes objects we can see with our naked eyes, like the Sun , the Moon , the planets, and the stars. Early observers looking at the night sky noticed patterns in the stars. Several thousand galaxies, each consisting of billions of stars, are in this small view. The purpose of this recently published research was specifically to establish how many people believe in astrology, and why. We might expect that all practitioners and students of astrology would say they believe.
